Frank is popular with every one in Abbeville, and our people wish him good luck and a good time in the big city. SCHOOL OF ELOCUTION. Miss Esther Graydon has opened her school of elocution -.end has a flourishing class. Miss Graydon is , graduate of Brenau College, and no doubt wiil be a most competent instructor. Lessons will be given at her home in the afternoons. TO TEACH IN COLUMBIA. Miss Margaret Klngi lias accepted a position in the Olympia School at Columbia, and left last week to begin her work. Perrin, has been in Abbeville for the past week visiting lis mother, Mrs. L. W. Perrin, and lis sister, Mrs. T. Gordon White. Prof. Perrin has been in the mountains of North Carolina all summer ivith a camp of young men. Prof. Moore, of the Citadel, who ias been spending the summer in Greenwood, came up to Abbeville last Fhursday and spent the day with his friend, Prof. R. McC. Perrin at the tiome of Mrs. T. G. White Young Richard Tiddy was the first L-ne in the city to respond to the reouest for sunflower seed made by the Civic Club. He has gathered something over a gallon of seed. Richard is a young man who takes much interest in outdoor affairs and is a successful raiser of fine chickens. The union services which have been held in the different churches every Sunday night during the three months of the summer, are a thing of the past.
