The City Counsel at a recent raeeUng passed an ordinance against spitting on the side walks. This is only following in the wake of other cities, and Is right. The habit of spitting on the sidewalk, though indulged In t>y nearly all of us, can be easily broken up, and I am sure that when we consider the annoyance of the practice, we will give due heed to the ordlncnce.
