Miss Kathryne Massey, student at Winthrop College, Rock Hill, is at home to spend the summer. Miss Massey remained over for a few days after the closing of school, visiting. IMr. W. N. Ashe was a visitor to Charlotte the first part of last week. Miss Alma Pauline Tillman and Mr. Kir'. M. Yoder visited at the home oi Mr. M. M. Tillman, of ^ . Waxhaw, last Thursday. ' MMr. Heath and Master Everett y . ( Nisbet, of Charlotte, are visiting relatives here. Mrs. R. H. Massev and Mr. T. j R. Thompson were elected, as delegates, to the State eonveri tion of the Order of the Eastern Star at Spartanburg, last week, from the Van Wyek lodge. ,/ On account of illness in the family Mrs. Massey was unable to attend. I The Masters' Music Club was entertained on last Wednesday I by Misses Emmie Fudge and Eva Massey. This was the first meeting of the club, but so few members were present that the full programme was not carried out. Unfortunately Miss Fudge i j was sick. The club was very pleasantly entertained by Miss j Massey with the assistance of j Mrs. Massey. Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Ashe vis| ^ ited in Rock Hill the past week. Dr. S. II. Ezzell, of Waxhaw, was a visitor in our town the first v of last week. Walker, to Mr. Porter Hollis, of Chester county. Mrs. Sal lie Steward left last Friday to visit relatives in Rock Hill.
