Mid-America, established in 1969. is a growing supplier of leading carpet manufacturers. The purchase represents Clinton's first move into the carpet yarns market. Sound level readings were made some time ago. and the high noise level areas were properly identified. Employees working in designated high noise level areas are required to wear company approved hearing protectors. Plintnn Mills has akvavs been con corned about the health and safety of its employees. The company feels that its current hearing conservation program affords all employees effective hearing protection. Each clinic is equipped with a Tracor sound proof booth and automatic testing devices. The hearing tests are similar to. and as short and simple as an eyesight test. An employee simply has the earphones adjusted to his ears while in the booth. The person being tested presses the control button when he hears a series of pre-determined frequency test signals. The machine automatically records the test readings.
