GOOGLE • COnTfflUEDFROmW gives users the chance to take a look at satellite maps of any city on Earth. While many Web sites have offered this ability for years, Google Earth creates a 3D rendering of our world’s most beautiful cities and natural wonders. Most recently, Google has released a new type of web-based program called Google Calendar. While scheduling programs like this have been available for years, Google hopes to use the success of its other programs to breathe life into this new venture. Users of the Google Calendar must have an active Gmail account. The service has a simple interface and can work with Microsoft’s Outlook Express and Apple’s iCal. On the business end of things, Google appears to be well off. At last check, Google’s stock was trading at $402.06. Many pundits and critics note that Microsoft views Google with a most curious, eye. Microsoft has seen the many products Google has come out with in the last few years and they have apparently become scared of Google. Google’s future is unknown, but many believe that the sky is the limit for the innovative company. With enough revenue coming from its advertising service and stock, Google’s future is most definitely secure. Comments on this story?
