The complainant said someone took an orange and silver Stihl stick edger. Estimated value: $400. Reporting officer: J. A. Clarke. (J) URCENY OF FLAG, SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, NEW CONSTRUCTION AREA, 438 MAIN ST. The supervisor of the job site told reporting officer J. A. Clarke that someone has been climbing on the construction crane. The complainant said that several items were moved around and thrown to the ground from the CA3 crane. The complainant also said that over Labor Day weekend someone took an American Flag with the pole and fasteners. Estimated value: $225. The complainant said that he is certain that on at least four occasions . someone has been on, in and around the crane late at night. He said a'fence with a lock as well as a spotlight will be added for security reasons. (£) SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, NEW CHILD CARE CENTER, 1300 WHEAT ST. The complainant said that someone tried to take the tires off the company’s Bobcat tractor. The complainant said lug nuts and a tool were found nearby, all of which belong to D.J. Contracting. The complainant said no damage was done. The tractor was fine; he just wanted USCPD to be aware of the situation. Reporting officer: J. A. Clarke. Saturday, Sept. 13 O DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION, INTERSECTION OF BULL AND DEVINE STREETS. Reporting officer G. Kerwin saw Tamela Paige Cayton Miller run a stop sign. Police said Miller did not have a license and that she admitted her license was suspended. Police said that a check with Miller’s name and birthday showed her license was suspended. Miller was arrested. Sunday, Sept. 14 O DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION, BLOSSOM AND SUMTER STREETS. Reporting officer R.B. Baker saw Ion Michael White’s car strike the right side of the curb and leave the road. White returned the car to the road and continued west on Blossom Street. Baker pulled him over. Baker said that White told him his license was suspended. A check of DMV files showed the subjects South Carolina drivers’ license was suspended. White was arrested. (?) CIVIL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, CLIFF APARTMENTS,1311 WHALEY ST. Reporting officer J.M. Simmons responded to a complaint of a domestic dispute at Cliff Apartments. When Simmons made contact with the subject, Simmons could smell a strong odor of alcohol. Police said the subject said, he had gotten into an argument with the victim and that the victim struck him in the face and the side of his head several times. Simmons said he saw barely visible red mark on the right side of the subject’s face. Simmons said when he made contact with the victim' she had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, a strong odor of alcohol and extremely unsteady on her feet. Simmons said the victim had one bruise on each arm. The victim and the subject admitted to living together. Because of this, the subject was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested and charged with civil domestic violence. © DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION, 1400 BLOCK OF GREENE STREET.Reporting officer M.L. Gooding saw Yvonne T. Boyd backing i w* r,vrvr\Avl t t +Vv 1 dAA of Greene Street and pulled her over. A check of South Carolina DMV records showed Boyd’s license was suspended for failure to pay a traffic ticket. Boyd was arrested. □ ACCIDENT, PEDISTRIAN HIT AND RUN, CM LOT, 902 BARNWELL ST. The victim said that she was struck by the subject’s car as she was walking on the sidewalk. The victim said the subject left the scene without checking on her. No treatment or transport was needed per the victim’s request. The victim was advised of the legal process should she wish to pursue legal action. Reporting officer: D. Pardue. O MALICIOUS INJURY TO PERSONAL PROPERTY, ZTA HOUSE The complainant said someone busted out the passenger door window of his car. Estimated damage: $200. Reporting officer G. Kerwin. Monday, Sept. 15 0 MALICIOUS INJURY TO PERSONAL PROPERTY, CAROLINA PLAZA PARKING LOT, 937 ASSEMBLY ST. The complainant said someone broke out the driver’s side window of his car. Nothing was missing. Estimated damage: $300. Reporting officer: R.A. Whitlock. ® MALICIOUS INJURY TO REAL PROPERTY, GAMBRELL HALL, 817 HENDERSON ST. The complainant said that someone disconnected all the cable wiles lu meuuiui in ljkslj monitor and video system, causing $300 in damage to the video equipment. Reporting officer: D.W. Friels. @ PEnY LARCENY, 743 GREENE ST. The victims said someone took $20 and a six pack of soda from them. Estimated value: $23. Reporting officer: C. Taylor. m CLERY ACT, 511 MAIN ST., SCHOOL OF MUSIC ACCESS. The victim said that while he was walking down the sidewalk three black males briskly approached him from behind and tried to steal his bookbag. When the victim refused to let go, they begin to beat him on his face and body. Reporting officer: S. Alexander. © SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, LAW CENTER PARKING LOT, 1112 GREENE ST. The victim said the subject’s car was sitting in the parking lot. The victim said the subject’s car followed him from the law center to the post office on Assembly Street, then up Richland Street, to the post - office on Assembly Street, then up Richland Street to Main Street. The subject’s car was a gray four-door sedan. The victim said the subject moved in and out other cars to stay behind the victim. The victim then returned to campus and flagged down reporting officer N. DeHaai. A check of the area was completed with negative context. Tuesday, Sept. 16 © SIMPLE POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, 200 WILLIAMS ST. The subject, Rebecca Aileen Harmon, was the passenger in the car that was stopped. The car was registered to her. The driver gave verbal consent to search , the car. A metal container with a substance believed to be marijuana was found under the driver’s seat. The subject was arrested. Reporting officer: J.R.
