Estimated value: $50. Reporting officer: R.A. Whitlock. ® VANDALISM, SUMWALT COLLEGE, 1212 GREENE ST. The complainant said someone vandalized a desk and floor by urinating on them. No damage was done. The complainant said the area was secure. Reporting officer: D.W. Friels. o HIT AND RUN, ARBORETUM, 3800 WILMONT DRIVE Reporting officer R.B. Baker responded to a call that a vehicle had run off the road and onto private USC property. A witness said a man got out of the vehicle and approached him to ask him not to call the police; the witness said the man seemed intoxicated at the time. ® MALICIOUS INJURY TO PERSONAL PROPERTY, S-10 LOT, 700 PARK ST. A roommate said the front door was secured at the time of the incident. Estimated value: $1,000. Reporting officer: G. Kerwin. Saturday, Feb. 8 O DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION, DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, GERVAIS AND HARDEN STREETS Reporting officer J.L. Meador arrived at an accident scene and saw that Darron Stevens was unsteady on his feet and disoriented. Stevens was complaining of a headache and neck pain, and EMS was called. Meador ran a check on Stevens’ license and found it was suspended. Stevens was taken to Baptist Medical Center, where a blood and urine analysis revealed he had Valium and marijuana in his system. Stevens was arrested and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. .Q DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, 1200 PENDLETON ST. Reporting officer R.B. Baker stopped Joshua Corbett after Corbett was seen driving recklessly. Corbett crossed lanes several times and made an illegal turn at a red light. Baker made contact with the driver, who smelled strongly of alcohol. Corbett failed all field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.14. Corbett was arrested and taken to the Richland County Detention Center. Sunday, Feb. 9 O MALICIOUS INJURY TO PERSONAL PROPERTY, BULL STREET GARAGE, 600 BULL ST. Reporting officer G. Kerwin saw Jessica Jackson kick the rear end of a blue Honda, causing damage to the trunk. Jackson was arrested and taken to the Richland County Detention Center. Estimated damage: $250. (9 LARCENY OF TELEVISION, MCBRYDE RESIDENCE HALL, 614 SUMTER ST. The complainant said someone cut a cord that was securing the Delta Tau Delta lounge door and took a 32-inch television and speakers. The complainant said someone took a 36-inch television from the Kappa Sigma lounge. Estimated value: $500. Reporting officer: S.D. Jones. Monday, Feb. 10 ® AUTO BREAK-IN, LARCENY OF CDS, GRAVEL PARKING LOT, 1600 WHEAT ST. The victim said someone broke out the front passenger’s-side window of her vehicle and took her CDs. Nothing else appeared to be missing from the vehicle. Estimated value: $250. Reporting officer: P.I. Jones. @ AUTO BREAK-IN, LARCENY OF TOOLS, STROM THURMOND FITNESS AND WELLNESS CENTER, 1000 BLOSSOM ST. The victims said someone entered their unsecured vehicle and took their tools. They said there were tools and suitcases in the vehicle but that the only things that appeared to be missing were the tools. Estimated value: $1,435. Reporting officer: J. A. The complainant said someone entered an unsecured vehicle and took a sewer machine while the vehicle was parked on the Sumter Street side of Longstreet Theatre. Estimated value: $1,400.
