The victim said someone damaged her vehicle, causing dents and scratches around the right rear quarter panel. Estimated damage: $300. Reporting officer: J.A. Henry. (2) LARCENY OF LICENSE PLATE, GRAVEL LOT AT PICKENS AND WHEAT STREETS. The victim said someone took a South Carolina license plate - from her vehicle. Estimated value: $25. Reporting officer: J.M. Simmons. (D AUTO BREAK-IN, LARCENY OF RADIO, S8 LOT, 1328 WHEAT ST. The victim said someone broke out the driver’s-side vent window of her vehicle and took a CD player, two sub-woofers and installation kits. Estimated value: $270. Reporting officer: J.M. Simmons, o DISORDERLY CONDUCT, MCBRYDE RESIDENCE HALL, 614 SUMTER ST. Reporting officer Trey Kerwin found Joshua Wheeler in the hallway of the residence hall outside one of the rooms. He and Kellum Mahan were being extremely loud and boisterous. They both smelled strongly of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. Both of them were arrested and taken to Richland County Detention Center. Sunday, Jan. 19 H AUTO BREAK-IN, LARCENY OF CD PLAYER, BATES LOT, 1423 WHALEY ST. The victim said someone picked the front passenger’s-side door lock of his vehicle and took a CD player. Estimated damage: $150. Reporting officer: J.M. Simmons. Monday, Jan. 20 O STRONG-ARMED ROBBERY, PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE, 300 SUMTER ST. The victim said two people approached her from behind and shoved her to the ground as she was walking on a pedestrian bridge. The two men took her backpack and wallet and instructed her to lie on the ground or, they said, they would kill her.The victim didn’t see a weapon. Estimated value: $350. Reporting officer: E.A. Adkins. [7] LOST PROPERTY, SOUTH QUAD, 500 SUMTER ST. The complainant said he lost a cell phone at South Quad residence hall. Reporting officer: M. Seger. E MALICIOUS INJURY TO PERSONAL PROPERTY, GAMECOCK TENNIS COURTS, 1704 BLOSSOM ST. The victim said someone broke out her passenger’s-side rear window and threw around all the papers in her vehicle. She was unable to verify whether anything was missing. The vehicle had not been checked since October. Estimated damage: $100. Reporting officer: S.D. Jones. □ SIMPLE POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, MCCLINTOCK RESIDENCE HALL Reporting officer M.L. Gooding responded to a report of a fire alarm going off. When the fire panel was inspected, it was revealed that the smoke detector from Tracey Rooney’s room had set off the alarm. Gooding checked the room and found a bag of what was believed to be marijuana in plain view. Rooney confessed to owning the substance and provided a pipe to officer. Rooney was arrested and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
