He was 50. Ramone, whose real name was Douglas Glenn Colvin, was found dead on the couch by his wife when she returned home at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, said Craig Harvey, operations chief for the coroner’s office. Paramedics were called and he was declared dead at 8:40 p.m. “The investigator noted drug parapherna lia, including a single syringe on the kitchen counter, and we are handing it as a possible accidental overdose,” Harvey said. The coroner’s office did not say what drug was suspected of causing Ramone’s death. An autopsy was performed Thursday but con clusions about the cause of death were de ferred pending toxicological tests, spokesman David Campbell said. Those results could take several weeks, he said. The death came 11 weeks after the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. J-Lo separates from husband NEW YORK (AP) - Jennifer Lopez and her dancer-husband; Cris Judd, have separated, a source confirmed to The Associated Press on Friday The source said the pair parted am icably and have no immediate plans for di vorce. Alan Nierob, a spokesman for Lopez, de clined to confirm or deny the split. The 31-year-old actress-singer married Judd, 32, in a private ceremony in Calabasas, Calif., on Sept. 29. The nuptials came just months after she broke off a highly publicized romance with hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. The latest split was first reported Friday by New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, who also said Lopez had reunited with Combs. But the source denied that, saying there was no third party involved in the breakup. Just last week, Lopez said in a cover story in “Us” magazine, “Chris brings serenity into my world. In the midst of the crazy storm that is my life, his love is what I need most of all.” Lopez married model Ojani Noa in 1997 and divorced him the following year. McCartney weds model Mills GLASLOUGH, Ireland (AP) - Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his fiancee Heather Mills arrived by helicopter Sunday at the remote Irish castle (Castle Leslie, now a luxury hotel in County Monaghan) where they plan to be married this week. Geoff Baker, a spokesman for McCartney, said the couple would remain at the 17th cen tury property in the days leading up to their wedding Tuesday. Baker said McCartney and Mills will be married by a local priest at St. Salvator’s church, within the estate, before throwing a lavish party for 300 guests at the castle. Baker declined to say who would be at tending the service or give any other details of the ceremony. Preparations for the wedding bash were evident Sunday as security guardsade regular sweeps of the sprawling estate on horseback. McCartney and Mills - a model who lost a leg in a motorcycle accident nine years ago - met at a charity function, where she was rais ing money to oppose land mines. The couple announced their engagement last July. Glory CONTINUED FROM PAGE 7 the album. Other guest artists include members of Bane and Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba. The guest artists add to the vocal fullness on tracks like “Forget My Name,” although their influence is so slight that they barely make a dent in the castle of catchy bubble-gum punk that the band has constructed. The Northeast produces more hardcore and garage-rock, while the more tropical regions like California and Florida produce a massive amount of the lighter pop-oriented rock, and New Found Glory plays a big part in this distinction. These sunny Florida natives are obviously most affected by the happy climate and leisurely hours at the beach. Their energetic sound and silly antics in the liner notes create a happy-go-lucky attitude. This fun loving, upbeat pop-punk group should try writing songs about sand and surfing, and leave the sappy love lyrics for the acoustic Emo bands.
