Frazier said that Patrick McGhee grabbed her son’s arm and pushed him out of the way in a seating dispute. Statements were given and taken. Reporting officers: R.A. Whitlock, U. Means. I : JUNE 2 © SUICIDE ATTEMPT, LONGCREEK DRIVE The victim called USC Police Department saying he was going to commit suicide but did not have the means to do so. Inv. Calvin Gallman was notified and spoke with the victim. An ambulance was dispatched. Reporting officer: A.R. Ross. JUNE 3 (3) FOUND PROPERTY, SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF 1600 PENDLETON STREET A Bank of America Visa Gold Card was found on a sidewalk in front of Pendleton Street. Amanda J. Furr’s card had been reported lost and was destroyed per bank instructions. Reporting officer: B. Tember. JUNE 5 (4) LOST PROPERTY, 937 ASSEMBLY STREET, CAROLINA PLAZA Victim s co-worker found a luggage tag with his name on it in the Carolina Plaza parking lot. The tag was with his laptop under a bench in his office when it was last seen three weeks ago. The laptop is a Gateway Solo 9.50. Reporting officer: E. Pereria. (5) ABANDONED PROPERTY, 1642 SHOP ROAD The complaintant was at the Highway Department on Shop Road where he accidentally left his transceiver. He was on his way home to North Augusta when he realized he has left his transceiver. When he returned to get it, the unit was gone. The transceiver was a Radio Shack handheld transceiver. Reporting officer: E. Pereira. O RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE, LOT 1 PARK STREET The reporting officer noticed that a window in a parked car was down. Upon further investigation, he realized the CD player had been tampered with. He ran the tag and found the car was reported stolen from Folly Beach. The proper authorities at Folly Beach were notified. Reporting officers: D. Hale, N. DeHaai. JUNE 6 0 FORCED ENTRY/RESIDENCE, GIBBES COURT Albert Scruggs is being linked to an early morning burglary and assault of a 21 year-old female on Gibbes Court. The incident occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. when the suspect entered the victim’s residence through an unsecured front door. The victim confronted the suspect in the living room and told him to leave. The suspect grabbed the victim and attempted to kidnap her. When she screamed for help, Scruggs fled the apartment. Anyone with information as to . the whereabouts of Scruggs should contact the Investigative Division at 733-8385 immediately. . Reporting officer: A.R. Ross. O DUI, OPEN CONTAINER, 1800 GREENE STREET The driver crossed a white stop line on Pickens Street. He then turned left onto Pendleton Street heading east, then turned south onto Barnwell Street without using a turn signal. He then proceeded to turn east onto Greene Street without using a turn signal. The reporting officer initiated a stop. The driver stepped out of his vehicle, stated that he was “okay to drive” and that he has a habit of not using signals. Reporting officers: DeHaai, Rosier. JUNE 7 O GANG GRAFFITTI, 801 HENDERSONSTREET Gang graffitti was found on the southwest corner of the USC Energy Services Building. The graffitti was black and maintenance was notified to remove it.
