Company alumni will join the Columbia City Ballet to perform excerpts from original ballets such as Dracula, Beauty and the Beast, Swan Lake and A Tribute to Fred Astaire. Former members will revive their previous roles, and guest appearances will be made by Marcelo Gomes, recently named one of the top 25 dancers to watch by Dance Magazine, and alumna Tabitha Gamer, who now dances in Disney Wbrld productions. Original productions aren’t the only performances planned for the anniversary celebration. More upbeat routines will also be performed, including a recent piece, Blackberry Winter by Marie D’Angelo, former associate director of the Jofirey Ballet of Chicago. This routine blends classical dance techniques with those of modem, folk and breakdancing. Gov. The event will feature dinner, cocktails, dancing and music provided by the band Second Nature.
