ENOL-ANP, ^ AFTER ALL J Aries (March 21-April 19) You may have to work a compromise. Don't wor ry; you can still be the leader. It's nice to be the kind of leader people follow because they want to, not because they have to. And, your willingness to com promise now will help you maintain that position. Taurus (April 20-May 20) You should do pretty well now. Mercury is going retrograde, however. As you may know, that could mean confusion. And, for you, it's going to happen within groups and organizations. So, if you are a mem ber of a group, be extra sure you under stand what's going on. Gemini (May 21-June 21) A lot of interesting changes are taking place. There's also more than the normal amount of confusion. A person who's issuing orders could be way off base. You should pay close attention to what's going on around you. Your advice could be pivotal. Cancer (June 22-July 22) You may have a treasure in your own backyard. Dig through your files, and you may find the perfect thing. It's just what you've been looking for, and it was right there the whole time. You might find a fabulous old recipe in your collection, too. Leo (July 23-Aug. 22) You and a part ner could make your dreams come true. It's not going to be easy, but it does look possible. Your best bet is with an old dream, not a new one. Try again with something you've almost given up on. Recent changes could give it new life. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) You are look ing good and drawing a lot of attention. You and your mate or partner need to discuss a financial decision. You and the person you're most likely to be in love with should work'on a project together, too. It's bonding. Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 23) The moon will - come into your sign soon. You'll get stronger and more confident as that hap pens. In the meantime, you may feel a tad stressed. If that happens,1 go back to the old familiar way of doing things. You'll be more efficient, faster and hap pier. Scorpio (Oct. 24-Nov. 21) You'll be most successful in romance if you're waxing nostalgic with somebody you've known for a long time. Don't spend all day playing, though. Something impor tant must get done before tomorrow. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) A lot of changes are going on, and some of them are pretty impressive. Somebody at home could be pestering you, too. If you don't have anybody at home, it's your own inner child who wants your attention. Spend tonight at home, play ing with your toys. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) If there's anything you need to know, ask ques tions early in the day. Later, there'll be a quiz. If you already have the informa tion by then, you'll pass with flying col ors. Part of the quiz, of course, is know ing which answers to have ready. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) The mon ey's not showing up as quickly as you'd like. You can find out where it is, but a few phone calls may be necessary. You might have to jump through a few hoops, too. If you're patient and persis tent, you will succeed — eventually. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) How much do you need to get something you want? Instead of writing the check yourself, suggest that a partner pitch in. Watch out for misunderstandings, too. They'll be more common in the next few weeks, starting now. ,}< t Crossword ACROSS 1 Russo of “Get Shorty” 5 Ignominy 10 Grub 14 Remsen and Levin 15 Pie nut 16 Author of‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame” 17 Dejected 19 Having the skill 20 Computer adjuncts 21 Radon and neon 23 _Cruces, NM 24 Soda-shop order 25 Stupefied with liquor 29 Smiled coyly 33 Gold measure 34 Jabs 35 “To_is human n 36 Parched 37 Gets stuck in mud 38 Paul of “Scarface” "TO Y 40 Castles’ defenses 41 Feminist Orbach 42 Printings 44 Certainly 45 Splitsville 46 Individual 47 Summer TV fare, often 50 Acted upon 55 Book after Joel 56 Spring bloom 58 Essence 59 Makes an effort 60 Inactive 61 Colorado tribe members 62 Meager 63 Little legumes DOWN 1 Eliminates 2 Guitarist Clapton 3 Shuttle grp. 4 Sports stn. 5 Facing pages 6 Will’s names 7 Deeds 8 Worldly West 9 Final stages of play 10 Morally pure 11 Focal points 12 Eye amorously 13 Sorrows 18 Small harbor 22 Swiss chain 24 Post and Oldfield 25 Ocean ray 26 Having paddles 27 Singer Lopez 28 Small boy 29 Kinds 30 Put into service again 31 Comic Kovacs 32 Removed moisture 34 Baby grand, e.g. 37 Lunar exits? 38 Slander 10 Aspect 11 Smile scornfully 13 Depends on 44 Act like a parasite 46 Regularly 47 Prego rival 48 Give off 49 Stood up 50 Home of most people 51 Fastener 52 Powerful trend 53 Ms. Fitzgerald 54 Makes white black, e.g. 57 Trajectory © 2000 Tribune Media Services, Inc. 7/21 /00 Al rights reserved.
