We waut to be able to say at the close of this chautauqua that Wllliamston has held the largest and most valuable farmers meeting ever held in the Unit ed States. We know you are going to begin work, in fact, we know you are alrealdy at work ad vertising by telling your neighbors and writing your friends about the Willlamston Farmers Chautauqua. You ar? rounding up your work so you ca nturn your farm loose for these three days and 1st give your time and life and soul to the chautau qua for the entire three days. It Is not simply going to be a dry-farm ing affair. It is going to be filled to the brim with live things and you are going to be the livest tiling there. The program for the first day has JuBt about been completed. Gov. Richard I. Manning will deliver the opening address. Dr. D. B. John son, president Winthrop College will follow the governor with an address on the subject, "The Rural Home and the Fann.Woman." In the afternoon, the meeting wiii be divided into four or five divisions, under'the direction of Clemson and Winthrop colleges. The men will be devlded into two sections. Prof. Barton of Clemson will have charge of one meeting and will conduct a course of study on soil improvement. This will not be a dry-farm meeting; but a real Ure meeting In which you are going to be one of the chief fae* tors. Messrs. They are going to have the stock there to use as text books, so you will be able to see Just what you are going to loam aa wall as bear about it. The Women, will assemble in the public school building where Miss Edith L.
