AND WHEREAS, A petition has been fiied with the Town Council oi the town of Chesterfield, S.C., signed by a majority of the freeholders of the said town as shown by the tax books of the said town, requesting the Town Council of the town of Chesterfield, S. C., to order an election ^ therein, submitting the question of issuing bonds to the amount of fifty thousand ($50,000.00) dollars for the purpose of cohstructing a waterworks system for the said town of Chesterfield. C., in Council Assembled and by the authority of the same that a" special election be, and the same is hereby ordered, in the town of Chesterfield, S. C., to be held on the fifth day of April 1921, according to the laws of the State of South * Carolina respecting said election, at which election the registered, qualified electors of the said town of Chesterfield shall be entitled to vote on the question or issue, "Shall the town of Chesterfield, S. C., issue coupon bonds to the amount of fifty thousand ($50,000.00) dollars, bearing interest at a rate not to exceed six per cent, per annum, payable in any legal tender money of the United States forty years after date, with the privilege of redemption after twenty years frohri date, the proceeds of the sale of bonds to be applied to the construction of a Waterworks System for the said town. Catherine Johnson ' Mrs. Catherine Johnson, one of the most estimable women of this community, died at her home near here last Monday. While the death of Mrs. c' Johnson was not unexpected, she hav- m ing been ill for some time, nevcrthe- s' less her death was a shock to her many friends, who were deeply sad- ct lened by the announcement.
