It is intensively educative in its character. It teaches by contrast and example when seeing is believing. It creates a healthy rivalry and friendly competition. It gathers knowledge and ditTuses it; it advertises and attracts; it promotes social life aud good feeling; it inculcates feelings of pride and patrotism. It is a timekeeper of progress; it records a community's advancement; it goes into the home: it broadens and brightens the the daily life of the people; it opens mighty storehouses of information. The fair is a busiucss proposition. It is an opportunity to i advertise your goods and youi farm products. You place them before the people, thus giviug you an opportuuty to bettor your condition by securing some of your best seed corn, cotton seed, brood sows, fine cattle, horses, mules, sheep, etc. The fair spirit is taking a hold on our people, interest is devlopBH ft ing; communities heretofore V a lukewarm are catching the spirit W * and contagion has set in. f Where fairs have been held longest, you will find better live stock; better farmers and better farms, llence yon will see that we have everything to gain and nothing to lose by encouraging, establishing and maintaining a good County Fair. Patrons of our Fair can olTord to be especially liberal, remembering that every cent of profit goes into improvements that will make each fair better than the preceding one. L1IMLMl??? irmtMmurr n .
