He is indeed a christian?ehRd. Wc went out to * the church and met a very enthusiastic and spirited prayer meeting. We started on our campaign, and I preached seven sermons in Virst rolvnvii ,..,.1 thi^ee added to the church, two ' converts, candidates for baptism I and one by letter. We went t o I Conway Sunday p.m. and preach- { ed to the Cherry Hill Baptist church, where we added to the church two, one candidate f o.t baptism and by christian experience. My last, service ^vas back ~ - to~First~C*nlvary where we preach ed our final sermon and the Lord's Supper was served. I have been around trying t o preach in the North, artd in the South, but I have never met in * all of my history more enthusiastic, emotional and spiritual ferfor. Indeed Doctor G. G. Daniels [ ^ ? our vice-president of thd i). and ' *tf' M. Convention is worthy .of the offices he holds. He is" dignifying the* Baptists-irr-thrrtr prrrt-of- -HTtr state. He is moderator of two Associations and has built a' large brick building at Conway And Andrews and, is hauling * brick now for a greater First Calvary where he has taken in this year over 200 members and the church is only twenty-nine months old, but the membership of approximately 700 I went to their Sunday school supposed to have been at 10 o'clock,but a little late rtlid I certainly admire the class of folk that were active in the Sunday school. AIKEN t'Ol'XTY TEACHERS' ASSOCIATION The Aiken County Teachers' Association met Oct. 15th at the Aiken graded school. ---.-After?the devotional exercises the new teach ci-s were welcomed by our president. lie stated the happiness of having them with us. He also asked them to join us in helping to make Aiken County one of the very 4)est in every respect. Our Jeanes teacher Mrs. J. W. Washington presented the County Supt., Mr. Byrd spoke to us in his own way. The teachers of the county are always pleased t o have hirrr-comb inland take a part in our meetings. The Lunch program was discussed ..Uy..those..in charge. The majority of our schools seem tcy be interested in one of the three ypes of I.unch.
