Brown and his vigilant members and friends invited the Annual Church School and Missionary institute of the (Spartanburg district of the S. C. Methodist conference to convene i n Glover Chapel M. The handsome sanctuary, beautiful manse, delightful flowered grounds, and the hospitable and . polished pastor and zealous church folk had every thing in order for the reception, and the two lovely -idays -sojourn of this choice : Chris^tian gathering. ~ ~ ~ The alert and cheer animating D. The j collections averaged about $15.00 a a service. The weather was balmy and pleasant throughout the session. Big relishable dinners were supplied by the St. James M. Wesley, York, M. Clover chapel, Mt. Olive, Holiness, Clover, Zion, - Green Pond M., Flat Rock Baptist and Mt. Harmony churches. He pastorcd he College Place Circuit in the ears'of 1925 to 1930 and in that icriod bought an acre of land at ne^polnt and built an edifice and ceded, and consecrated the s&me o the great A. M. E. Church. At he other point, he built another eautiful edifice.
