In the afternoon Rev. -King- re turned and preached the funeral ! of sister Nellie Jeter, the oldest member of the church. He very beautifully portrayed the life of the deceased. Sister Jeter ^vas one of Hie founders of this church and had been a faithful member ever since. A large number of i friends came out to show their last respect to the deceased who j was well thought o? by both white | and colored and a number showed i this, by giving dowers. As a tok- j en of respect for her loyalty the church gave a beautiful wreath. .Sister Jeter v.ill be sorely missed at church and in the community, tor until the last, she would creep j to church on her stick.
