FEDERATION NOTES The Sunlight Club meeting of January 21st, offered a program replete with information and Inspiration. Mr. Birnie of State College as leader of a group; discussing "Fighting on the Home Front" Introduced the following named speakers: Mr. Gabe Buckman, Miss Mattie Pegues, Mrs. Harpei and Mr. J. P. Burgess. ' Mr. Bucknian discussed "Producing," emphasizing poultry raising, stressing the important ohases: Miss Pi><nioc fnir-r.,1 the "Consumer," with special reference -to tlie necessary amount of milk, butter, fruits, vegetables etc., that children of varying ages and adults at different ages and varied occupations MUST have; Mrs. Harper talked about the importance of health?emphasizing the necessity of being p re pared should disaster come; Mr. Burgess gave his hearty endorsement to all that had been said. He made a plea for a 'Day Room' for our boys, w*hich met with nparty approval. In the business session which followed, Mrs, Wilkinson asked Mrs. E. B. Rowe to give a resume of the works of a special committee meeting with Mrs. George Davis a few days prior. Mrs. Rowe gave a comprehensive statement of what was accomplished relative to the organization of a Citizens Service Corps which will muster the aid of all of the women to serve on the home front. A committee was appointed to work out the details of the. "Silver Tea" which is observed thruout the state on Sunday dearest the birthday?February 18th?of the revered and honored Dr. R. S. Wilkinson.
