The President Mrs. Nonie Crawley called attention to the observance of Prayer Week which?will be observed?throughout Methodism and plans for the observance of this week of prayMrs. E. Martin and Mrs. Mamie Dubose made encouraging remarks. A very delicious repast was enjoyed by all. Mrs. R. McCray and Mrs. E. J. Jeffrey delightfully expressed appreciation to Mrs Brown for the royal way 4n~ which?she entertained the group. The class leaders and members of John Wesley church are happy over the fact that Sunday being the day of the fourth and last quarterly conference the D. S. was. paid in full. Mr. R. L. Byrd, Mrs. E. The exhibits were of a high educational and type. It showed that the people are being trained along all lines o f development, even in the selecl tion of exhibits to be displayed in order to help some one else improve their mode of living.?Many of the booths featured thejr contributions to the National Defense Program especially school onrl nnmmtiwUi. There were also on display, single trees plough beams wagon wheels made, and repaired with native materials bv boys in the school farm shop. The success of our efforts will by no means cause the boys and girls of our youth group to become big-headed and conceited but they are pledging to continue to carry out such activities in the school and community under the guidance of the vocational teacht-rs. academic teachers, patrons and leaders that will make Jamison an improved and better place in which to live. Simmons, Pastor The old conference year is all most over, and all of the doings of the circuit will soon be history. The fourth quarter was held with Bethel on the first Saturday und Dr. Clarke our beloved presiding elder is much pleased with the reports. 'rhe sisters are to be' com mended for the fine dinner they brought to the conference. We < all had a gracious plenty to eat and plenty was left. The presiding elder preached for us on the first SundiV morning and even- j ing and really he seems to go, from good to better, and many , are saying that he is the best.
