HhTwort ~ has been marvelous since he was There. He has added a great num 1 ber of members to the church and paid all of the general claims. He and his good people are now getting ready to make a round report in this annual conference.-In one rally this year they raised almost $1800,00. They bought three lots with houses by. the church and are now-getting ready to en^ large the church in order to accommodate the people and build a home for the old folk of the church. They are hoping to give 'this conference one of the greatest entertainments they have ever had. J He is asking all who are expecting to visit the conference to write him at P. O. Box 1, Station A, Charleston, S. C. Si;MMERV1LLE NEWS With all the Alston Tigers back in school now and in such fine shape, we are looking forward to this being a record breaking year ? for Alston. The team is completely I outfitted in new togs from head gear to shoe. With Mr. Mclver as coach, and Mr. Moore, assistant, the team is headed for victory on any gridi^om The Athletic Club is sponsoring a chicken dinner and dance Friday night for?the benefit- -of getting other things which are essential to a good, well equiped team. The 10th grade is putting on an aniaterr program Tuesday night. The class is working on its quota of SIO/'Q for the school year.
