Sunday school open ed- at the usual time with Supt., Mrs. Jeff Bellam and teachers at 11:30 A.M. the pastor ascended the rostrum and preached a soul reviving sermon. 5:30 P.M. Children's Day exercises began. The program was enjoyed and those taking a part portrayed their ability well. Jane Esther Sanders celebrated her seventh birthday Tuesday afteroon with a host of her little ^ ^^-iends. Games were enjoyed ?^^roughout the afternoon. - The ^dining room was artistically decrepast consisted o f sandwiches, lemonade, cake and nuts. After a brief prayer meeting, the pastor selected his text from r Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, etc." The duty of parents to their children was beautifully portrayed. Alter the sermon 30 children were' or ptizied.' The Children s' Day' program was conducted by Mesdames CarRosa Blackwell which was very good at both afternoon and evening sessions. We are still moving upward financially, numerically and spiritually. We have added 70 members to our church roll. Rev. and Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Edith Lawson__ motored to Lancaster last Tuesday. Rev. and Mrs. Thompson were the guests , of Rev, orwl Mrs, A R, Kitiff. Roth Rev. annd Mrs. King are teachers. 1 Mrs. Edith Lawson was the guest ^ of Miss Lillian Thompsonn.
