Five choirs were j there and they did some singing, j This reporter still can hear First J Calvary singing: "Going ? Every t Step of the Way," and Zion sing-, ing: " You Must have that Pure! McKinney of New York, who i*- a traveling evangelist; the Rev. Scott of Columbia and this reporter who ? spoke in interest of The Palmetto Leader. We urge our friends not only to subscribe for The Leader, but send their printing job wort to our office. Frank McCormiek was re-elected president for another year. This young man is a great church worker, a lover of humanity anc' a leader for his people. If tlu Association will follow his lead ership, it will grow by leaps anc' bounds. -? Other?officers?elected were 1) W. White, vice-president. I.. E Washington, Sec.; Alex. Washing ton, Treus, unci Robert High tower chaplain. The only criticism we have to offer is the Baptist pastors, of Columbia seem ed in this convention; not a Citv Baptist pastor was there, not ev ^ t#i the pastor of the local church where the meeting was held. This convention was held foi New Hope church near Broad itiver bridge and WiTKain McDaniel made a very pleasing welcome address.
