VACATIONS WITH PAY
"Practice what you preach" is
one of the guiding principles of
the life of the St. Louis, Mo. hair
dye manufacturer, Charles , W
Godefroy, and Mr. Godefroy lives
up to his preachments.
For years this Negro benefae
tor has advocated that Negro em
ployees in industry receive th?
same vacation grants accorded to
other workers. But Mr. Godefroy
has done more than advocate this
practice: he observes it.
This year, as in past years, th?Godefroy
Manufacturing Company
has its employees designate
~tWO~Weeks~as the company's "vacation
period." During that period,
all employees simultaneously
cake their vacations. Product man
ufaeture la sufficiently" geared dut
ing earlier months of the year to
provide sufficient supplies for the
vacation period.
And this year, as in past years
all Negro members of the company
participated in the general
vacation period, with full pay.
