ALLEN-BENEDICT BUMMER SCHOOL ENJOYING PROSPEROUS YEAR The Allen-Benedict Summer school iB enjoying a very prospe-J roua session, according to statements made by? President Samuel R. Higgins, Director A. G. Smith and Treasurer J. J. Starks. A fine program has been mapped out by Che social committee to provide an adequate recreational program during the summer. All the teachers had a > very enjoyable evening and are looking -eagerly forward to the ' next social evening. The entertainment committee under the chairmanship of Pro feasor Louis Finley has planned aeveral evening programs of a musical nature which will be announced at a later date. The. public will be- urged to witness these musical and other evening profnuns. The enrolment has passed the three hundred fifty mark among the largest number ever to % have attended an Allen-Benedict Summer session. I Hi II I ! AIKEN NOTES t On Thursday night of last week I the Missionary Society sponsored a pew rally which was quite a sue 1 cess. A very interesting programme was presented nn Sunday- night. Its participants were the high school and college graduates who are members of Friendship. These graduates and the schools from which, they graduated qre: High School; Joseph Perry, Harbison; Catherine Gyles, Parthenia Toles. Verinelle Mason and Ruth Town send. Schofield. Peace, whp also preached an inspiring sermon. A special -effort is being fostered to enable every child to attend "Sunday School at some church. First to appear were the Poro dealers, in uniform, representing daily service.
