Garrick, made a touchdown and kicked the extra point Thursday, November 30, when they laid on the table - $737.24 more than they set out to -? raise. The goal was for $3,000 but the committee headed by "Fire Poker" J, P. Reeder, end aided by leaders from every section of the state, counted and it checkd to ti cent at the bank, $3737.24 for Morris college. Tho exra point came when Dr. B. F. "Stewart, W. A. Johnson. L. C. Jenkins, G. G. Deniel, W. Rave. nel J W. Boykins and scores of others laid down a SI49.00 at. v tack in the lrst few minutes to rally.' The Wa terra- 1. D led </T with $600.00. The white Baptists (women) made a pass with $200 The Alumni association made r line plunge with $150.00. The Charleston County association, made a forward pas3 with $141.00 The Gethsemrne made a lateral pass with $110.00. The Jeiusa. lem associrtion made an end run with $157.00. The Kingston Rake rinped thru' with $100.00 as did the Dramatic club, the City of Sumter, the Bltck River, $114.35, the Mt. Moriah hit the line with $131.00 and the Big Pec Dee canie running with $101 plus what 1 missed retting in the mix up. The Wateree sisters ran for a gain of $125.00 and the Black River sisters crught a punt with $96.00. In a later writeup, you will get what each association and con. vention gave in this mighty One More Effort, so well planned and beautifully executed.
