The girls prepared everything under the .direction of their teacher, Miss Ernestine Wilkerson. They roCTuv'ed and entertained Miss Sumter and Mrs. Finley until dinner was aimounced,?then all found their places by cards which upon each was fast/tied an Easter biddy. The season's flowers were arranged in clusters about the room. All dishes sat oh individual fancy cut mats?in the center of the long table v^tis a large plate of celery^ stalks, i aii'gfil?in?a?sun-burst with a cluster of red and green cherries im the middle of t h e plates; on~\the end of cm h sialk_ was a filling of green mayonnaise. This made V very attractive aswell as palatable dish. The room was decorateov in blue and gold. After dinner mints and candy were nerved. The girls quietly-Hoar cd the table, washed the dishes, arranged the-kitchen irrrd?dining room, doing all with quietness and system, and were ready to depart for home when the dismission bell rang. Miss Wilkerson will have them write a lesson -on this dinner and. this" will go into their Home .Economics hook, which each girl 'is making, the ittea..being.-to. train the girls how to prepare and serve nieals properly. It was a very, very nice meal. The Usher Board of the Metropolitan AME Zion church met at the home of Misses Adlene and Arlene McClurkin Monday night, April 4th, with Mr.'D. H. Babcock presiding.
