The Christmas that has just
greeted us and passed into history
was considered by "most ol
us the best, the most quiet, -the
n^oiw piosperous and the happiest
tnat we have witnessed in several
years. It possessed the spirit of
peace and good-will to men.
Santa Claus arrived in our town
a week before Christinas and ' ailed
about 2,000 white and colored
children from the city schools to
greet them and give them a truck
load of fruit. That was indeed a
glorious afternoon for both the
young and adults. All were sat
isfied at the close of that event.
We shall never forget Santa.
