Rev. -Haie^B. Thompson, Pastor
Ashville, N. C.?The past Sabbath
was a gloriously beautiful
day from sunrise to sunset. Birds,
flowers, music and the ringing of
church bells were in evidence and
filled the atmosphere throughout
the city. They made forceful and
effective appeal to GO to church
and worship.
The response to this appeal had

Reverence filled th etemj

by our pastor and the touching
processional hymn rendered by otir

sional hymn rendered by the senior
choir. The subject of the
morning's discourse was "The
Voice of the Cloud" taken from
St. Matthew 17:G and was delivered
by the young minister, Brother
Bynum Burton, pastor .of Chappelle
Station and a student at
Allen college, Columbia, S. C.
The message was well., received
and the pastor gave considerable
encouragement to the young- minister's
effort. Upon the opening
k of the door of the church, Miss
Annie Hampton of Columbia, S.

At the evening service a large

was taken from Psalm 3:5. The.
