H. Lewis, Bro. B. J. Mundle and Supt. W. 11. Young, all of which were very interesting to the entire school. At 11:15 a. m- the pastor de' "tivered the message from the 4 scripture found in St. John 4:14; subject, "Spirtiual Thirst and Dii. vine Satisfaction." Gripping interest in this^mcssag. was in evidenoe throughout it's delivery and many saints were, edified as the spirit of the Lord breathed upon the worshipping congregation. Many visitors won present and joined in our service. The work of the Sunday school ' continue to go forth with continued nterest and new scholars arc being received each Sunday. Rehearsals are well under way for a great Chidren's Dav program on the third Sunday in June. Among that vast congregation away up in New York State, Miss Catherine Faucett formerly of our church here and Mrs. Leola Carr Jennings formerly of Columbia^ S. C. wer<> found. They are rendering splendid services to the church and -city. Bafore leaving, our pastor and Mrs. Thompson were presented with a silver tokeh, a large box of lunch and other srifts from friends in "Flushing and New York' Gity. All are forking hard toward the tsucaessful accomplishment of this month's financial activities k and the spring rally which terminates on June 21st. Sunday was a beautiful day for all church goers. The services were fine. Sunday school was called to order by the Supt. All the teachers wtere at their post of duty. Rev. Jones was at his very best. He had as a subject "Disappointed Future," which was enjoyed by every one. The amount raised during the services was $19.42. We are very glad to say at this Writing that little Miss Mnrrrin Green is getting along..fine after having her tonsils removed. Those on the sick list .are Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Artemns. Mrs. E. W. Broadnax, and Elizabeth Barbara attended the Baccalaureate sermon at Benedict and Allen Sunday. Matthews, Pastor Sunday school was called to or- I der at the usual hour, with the I teachers at their post of duty. At 11:30 o'clock the pastor ascended the rostrum and preached a great sermon. Our hearts were made to burn as the man of God spoke to us by the way. At 3:00 o'clock the pastor with his choir and a part of his members motored to Roebuck, S. C. to close out the installation services at Poster C.hnnol The installation services of Rey. A. M. Matthews at Foster Chapel Baptist church, beginning Monday night, May 18, was a grand success. At 4-00 o'clock Sunday Key. A. M. Means, his -fehoir and usher board of Macedonia Baptist church Spartanburg, motored out to Foster Chapel, and climaxed the occasion. itev. Means captivated the audience and sat all hearts on fire. The members and friends gave their service and money freely that the occasion might-be a success, and it was a success both spiritually and financially.
