Tlie "Sunday school lesson was veryinteresting thruout. The pastor has already organized a Bible t^lass.' The Sunday school is growing numerically and financially., We- had quite-^a full congregation for the morning service. At 11:15 A. 'Ml. services betrnn. The I ,choir is rendering excellent service under the leadership of Mr. ?Hi. Hi-Howard, chorister and Mrs. L. T. Bates, organist. , The pastor's text was selected from Exodus "T4-15,"subject: Pro" gress uinder Difficulty. This sermon was carefully prepared and spiritually delivered- Many Amens were heard throughout the congregation. The Allen Christian Endeavor ? League "met at the usual" hour. The topic was very interesting. ML^ses Anna B. Lewis and Eva Poterfield had charge of the program. Mr. Henry Webber's discussion on prayer was well taken in*. . *"" The, piano ditot by .Misses Neal and Raiford was. well rendered. We sang: our league yells. We were Very ylad to have so many visitors with us. _ Mrs. Dickson Gave some splendid remarks on conduct which we are always gdad to hear. Powe, the pastor, delivered a wonderful' sermon from Acts 2:42, which, road thus: "and they continued "steadfastTy in the Apostles' doctrine and fellowship" He selected as a subject:?"Little Pictures of the Early Christian Church." The message was well developed in every detail. It was well planned and executed. Communion !Services were conducted immediately after the morning services. The annual week of prayer services were conducted Jan. 9-llth. Elder Johnson, Elder Pelot and -?"Mrs. F. K.. Dutler were in charge of the services respectively. with officers, teachers and pupils present. A very beautiful lesson. Peter's Great Confession" was dis cussed fully by the various classes The Christian Endeavor was called to order at 5 with Mlissos, C. J. Richardson and Emma Harper in charge. A very splendid program was had. - The topic for discussion " What Do I Know About Prayer?" was led., by Miss M. E. Randolph. Other discussions, were made on the topic by Elder Butler and Miss C. A.* Jaelcson. Others baking outstanding parts on the program were Misses Harriet and Doris Goodwin, Misses 07Tes??i Dixon, Laura and Evelyn Johnson Mary gladden and Mr. Gerald Dixon." We wish to thank those who took part in making the program a?, success.
