The meeting was- presided over by the presi r dent Miss Eloise Craft. The minutes of the last meetings were given by the secretary, Evelyn Bright. After the business part of the meet ing, a program was rendered bjr the chairman of 'the program committee Miss B. E. Nesbitt. BETHEL A M E CHURCH NEWS The conference year closed Sunday wun many visitors present to heai Dr Brogdon say parting words. Beginning with the Sunday school which was well attended and a splendid study period had. The spirit of good \ will seems to have predominated the ^ remaining services of the day. Twc strong sermons were preached morning and night respectively with whole : some appeals to hold that-?which for salvation in this world and the world to come. The officers then - ? took- ehargc of the services for the purpose of winding-up-the claims of ~ of the church that creditable reports be made. At 3:30 p. m., jDr. White pastor of Zion BapthjtChurch with his loyal ant liberal congregations, came over ant preached and his choir "sang?exhibiting the spirit of good will ant best wishes to Bethel Church and Dr Brogdon. $25.00 was realized by thi: effort for which we are grateful t0 Pr White and his good people and alsc to the many friends who were present and contributed liberally morn ing and night.
