With- much hospitality, the Junior Missionary Society was highly entertained at the home of Miiss Margaret Counts on Tuesday afternoon. We were very pleased to have with us a membei from the Senior N^issionary Society Miss Owens. A standing invitation is extended to all visitors. Misses Pauline Davis and Counts acting as hostesses, we wcrf- won served with a delicious course of banana ice cream and cajte. No words can express how well the evening was spentT with Miss Counts. The next meeting will be at the home ol Misses Fannie Mae and Eliza Castor. The gloomy morning of the fourth Sunday in August was made bright by Mr. Eddie Mickens, the leader of the Brookland choir and his co-singers while seating themselves com fortably in a Camel City Line bus in the Brookland Baptist church yard; and being joined by Mr. Jake Smith, leader of the Ml. Ziun choir and a group of young men singers and a number of friends from the City of Columbia?all seated themselves in the same capacity for a Journey thru the beautiful country which afforded wonderful scenery for seventy-two miles to Springfield Baptist church in .
