E. fathers, Loomis St. Mrs. Heath of Bennettsville, spent a few'days here this week. The city was shocked"to learn of the death of Mr. " Charles Ayers, On Saturday. He was sick just a few days. Every attention was given him but he passed away. He was a stu. dent at Brainerd Institute. The boys of his class served as pallbearers, while the- girls of the class carried the numerous and beautiful floral designs. Rev. Manoney, pastor of Carmel Presbyterian Church, "preached the funeral sermon to an immense throng. Charlie was a very pfr'opiising young man, polite and gentleman, ly, and the hundreds of friends are sad at his passing. He was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church and Sunday School, and was the son of Undertaker R. S. Ayers. He was buried in Hebron cemetery beside his mother "who preceded him several years ago.
