Two fine sermons were preached at
Allen Temple A. M. E. Church last
Sunday. The morning discourse, the
subject of which was; "Nearness to
Christ," \vs delivered by the pastor,
Rev. W. F. Rice. The sermon proved
very forceful and interestihg. The

* I. S. Reid of Laurens, wl^Ose subject
was: "Continuance in Christ's Word,
A Mark of True Discipleship." Despite
a limited audience, -R.ev. Reid
iftade a very powerful and thrilling

by the choir. A very profound and
