Thpre was a very lively discussion among the ~ various classes who seemed very enthusiastic concerning the lesson. The review was conducted 7?: by the suptr; Mr. R. S. RuqecII. Our pastor, Rev. J."- P, Washington, preached a splendid sermon from Acts JJAnd when he had found. him, he brought ? him into Antibch. And it came ? tn pnaq, that, ft wholp-vpfrg-fckmai ? "church, and taught mrrctrpeople. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." Sub. "The name Christian; its meaning and source."' First of all the significance of the name "Christian" should be considered j The name "Christian" can be defined in many different ways, but it really means Christ-like and unless this spirt is. manifested in our lives, as in the disciples' lives at Antioch, we are not worthy of this great name. ' There are many stages of greatness ? which we rftnnnt reach on arcount of various reasons; many titles of honor and respect we canot acquire but there is one title, the greatest^ on earth wlitch can be owned by every fndividual and that is the name Christian. Carl Diton Renders Musical Recital At Benedict College The students and friends of Benedict College had the profound pleasure of listening to a musical concert given by Prof. Carl Diton of Philadelphia, .last Tuesday evening. Mr.Diton Is giving a series of concerts in the South. He is indeed a master were "all of high type. The numbers he rendered were for the most part from other composers out ne also played and sang one or two original seleetfeHF*?The Mr. Diton is unusual.
