Church Street. STATE SUNDAY *CHOOU CONVENTION AT GREENWOOD To Be Held May 1-3. Greenwood, April 10.?Greenwood is working hand in hand with the State Sunday School Association to make the forty-first annual convention the greatest ever held in the State. Plans are being perfected for taking care of the hundreds of delegates that will attend this convention in Greenwood, May 1-2-3. The convention will be self entertaining this year. The entertainment committee, however, will secure board in the homes of the people of Greenwood where a reasonable charge will be made for enterainment. Application has been made for a low round trip rate. The attendance is expected to be very large even though low railroad rates are not secured. Hundreds of people have signified their intention of coming to the convention this year in their automobiles. An automobile road map showing the seven roads leading into Greenwood has been prepared by Mr. Webb, State general secretary, and is being sent out in all letters from the State office. The following prominent business men will assist Kenneth Baker, the general chairman of convention arrangements, in his plans for the convention: Finance Committee, G. W. Rush, chairman; W. J. Snead, J. C. Burns, W. T. Bailey and M. S. Chipey; Publicity Committee, H. L. Wateon, chairman; E. P. Wideman, S. Brooks Marshall, A. J. Davis, and S. H. McGhee. Reception Committee, George W. BUFFALO Buffalo, April 11.?The Union County Baptist Sunday School Convention met with the Upper Fair Forest Baptist church on March 21-18. Rice gave very able discussions on Foreign Missions which was listened to by large crowds. A very fine dinner was spread by the good people of the community which was very much enjoyed by everyone present. The increase in the attendance of the Sunday schools was noted with much pleasure. Also the contributions for missions was very good. A resolution was passed that we ask all of the pastors of tbe churches throughout the county to cooperate with us and send good delegations to the convention which meets with the Jonesville Baptist church June 30, 1918.
