The people in this section are gardening some and I am going to plant some beans today and I hope they won't get killod. The box supper at Elford Grove was sure fine and everybody enjoyed themselves fine; there were a fine lot of beautiful boxes and the boys bid on them lively; we also had oysters and after the boxes were all bid off we had a cake walk and about 45 couples walked for the cake, but "Moxy" naa me iuck 01 getting tne cake, though he had a young lady on both sides of him. The sum of $37.50 was realized. I did not get out to Sunday school last Sunday on account of the rain but there was a good crowd out and had Sunday school just the same. Miss Annie Johnson of near Union is visiting relatives in this community and attended the box supper at Elford.
