It is a pood food just simply opped .and can also be made int<>1 uch a wholesome, inexpensive sweet hat it should be widely used. Here j 5 the way to pop it and several ways j use it. Shell the corn if it is on the cob i nd pop the dried corn in a covered "on frying-pan or a regular popper, j baking vigorously. If a fire popper; 3 used, do not pop the corn directly ver the flame or it will scorch. Shake ; quiet high over the flames, or beter over coals or on the top of the tove. Take just enough corn to ?\or the bottom of the popper. A ; up of pop corn makes about three j uarts when popped. Pop coin is good, of course, seasoned idth salt. A common way of serving 5 to mix with a very little melted hater and then sprinkle with salt. l>ut lave you ever tried it as a breakfast ood eaten with milk or cream? It aakes a good cereal. To make a sweet of pop corn boil ' ogetlier 1 cup of corn sirup and 1 nblespoon of vinegar until a few rops harden in water and pour it over j he freshly popped corn while it is 1 tot. As soon as it is cool enough to ! tandle, grease the hands and form ino balls. This amount of sirup coders 3 quarts of pop corn. Chocolate pop corn is delicious, look 1 cup of corn sirup for five minues. Add 2 ounces of chocolate (two quares,) and stir until melted. Cook lowly until a soft ball is formed in yater. Beat, until thick. Have the topped corn in a greased dish. Pour he sirup over it and form into halls fhen cool enough to handle. This mount covers 1 1-2 quearts of pop orn.
