Thousands of Women Grow Strong in Nature's Way. 'Consider the Lilies of the Field, How They Grow." The life of the lily is but a few weeks or months. The life of man is "three score years and ten." But to live one's life in its fullness, women like the lily, must be nourished by those same rival elements which nature provides for nourishing every living thing; and these include the valuable phosphate so often lacking in the usual food we eat today. ArgoPhosphate is rich in these wonderful elements. It contains them in concentrated tablet form which is easy to take and quickly assimulated and absorbed into the system, and from youth to old age, builds and rebuids body and brain in beautiful harmony with Nature's perfect plan. "That's why" Argo-Phosphate makes good solid flesh and muscles. Columbia, Sept. 26.?Hon. Richard I. Manning, governor of South Carolina, has issued the following proclamation calling upon the people of South Carolina, to observe Sunday, November 4, 1917, as "Go-to-Sunday School Day": To the People of South Carolina: The supreme need in our State today is that the forces which make for character and Christianity shall control the forces which make for intelligence and patriotism. It is the duty of every commonwealth to encourage and support in every possible way every institution that helps to meet this great need. The Sunday school is the Bible school of the church, which aims, through the teaching of God's word, to produce intelligent and efficient Christian citizens and to train them for the largest possible service. The Sunday school is our greatest agency for promoting religious education among all the people, and for producing Christian citizenship. The South Carolina Sunday School association has appointed Sunday, No-' vember 4, as "Go-to-Sunday School Day." This day will be observed not only in South Carolina but throughout North America as "International Goto-Sunday School Day," and efforts will be made to secure thousands of recruits for the Sunday schools. Believing implicitly in the great work now being done in our Sunday schools, and desirous of encouraging those who are contributing their time energy, and money to this great cause, I. Richard I. Manning, governor of South Carolina, do hereby proclaim and set apart November 4, 1917, as "Go-to-Sunday School Day" for South Carolina. On that day, I earnestly urge all South Carolinians, as well as all visitors within her borders, to attend the Sunday school of their choice, and I trust that they will unite in the hearty support of this great agency which makes for character and good citizenship. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the State to be affixed at Columbia on this twenty-second day of September, 1917. (Signed) Richard I. Manning.
