That means that all friends of the orphans work on that day and whatever they make, they send to various denominational orphanages. More and more the custom has spread until now it means a great deal to the orphanages. This year, Sept. 30 is Orphan Work Day. Whatever you make on that day, if you are a Presbyterian, should be sent to Thornwell Orphanage, Clinton, S. C., for it is the Presbyterian Orphan age of Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. Many children, fatherless and motherless, are there from your State, and they are being trained in hand, head and heart. If it were not for Thornwell Orphanage they would not get this training. Will you not, then, set yourself to work on the 110th, and get others to work, and send that day's income to your little brothers and sisters, who must be cared for, and whom you love to help? Remember the day, Sept. GOth. Cut this out and read it to the members of your family. Send what you make to Thornwell Orphanage, Clinton, S. C., where there are .'100 orphan boys and girls being given a Christian training. LETTER FROM A UNION BOY. U. S. S. Delaware. At Sea. Editor Union Times: Enclosed find money order for $1.00.
