A large congregation was resent and good singing added much > the occasion. I was glad to see o many new faces. A glance at the canidates* column in the papers will how that already several aspirants >r office have made announcement of leir candidacy. All county officers ave to make the race this summer rith the exception of the sheriff and lerk of court, and judging from the ilk that is going the rounds there 'ill be no dearth of material to se>ct from. I have read much of the latter that has been published in le papers on woman's suffrage and rather enjoy the arguments. Some re amusing and some are instrucve. I do not think, however, that ie arguments are being put forth for r against it will change the tide cry much. Woman suffrage will )me in its time just as all other vils or blessings have come, and it oes not make much difference how re argue it. We may exhaust both ides of the subject and yet not flange its course. Just now I do not now whether I am in favor or gainst it. There are many argulents on both sides, arguments that are strong and spicy. Arguments lat are based on true premises, aruments feminine and sjrguments lasculine, arguments that are based n sinister motives and arguments lat are based on honest convictions, ut we have yet to see an argument lat takes up the subject and prejnts it in its true light, leaving out ersonal interest and prejudice. I ould like to see some disinterested, nbiased, able man take up this mat;r and discuss it in its true phases. Several have gone to Union today > attend the Democratic meeting.
