BAILEY UNDERTAKING CO. Undertakers Main Street at Railroad Crossing. Rhone 106. LOCKHART JUNCTION Lockhart Junction, April 27.? Sunday was a beautiful day and there was a large attendance at Sunday school. Eighty-five answered the roll call. We had many visitors with us, among them were Messrs. P. M. Coleman tand J .A. Lancaster of Jonesville and Mr. Lee Summers of Union who spent the day with Mr. T. B. Kelly, and attended Sunday school. Mr. Coleman, who is interested in the Sunday school work made a good talk, which was of much benefit to the school. Mr. Lancaster, who is known fot his good singing led the school in many good songs in which the young folk joined. All we need to make this a still better Sunday school is a larger building, which we hope to get soon. The Sunday school was turned into an experience meeting last Sun.-, day and the question was asked, Who is willing to stand up for Jesus? A large number stood up. Come out and be with us. I was a delegate to the District Methodist Conference which was held at Saxon Mills in Spartanburg county last week. We were assigned td the home of Rev. I). E. Camak, afl the Textile School. He had abUht 25 delegates. This is a very large building, well furnished, electric light sand water works and every thing convenient. Mr. Cavnak and family and students all live in the same building. This is a grand school and we met many young men who are working their way thrpugK this school. They work one 0i*fl8| and go to school one. There aj^H acres of land owned by this on which is a beautiful vegi^-J Kaiucn tii 111 several acres OI oats as this writer has seen \? Jp where. The school is growing and looking forward to greater things. The schools in the rural districts are closing for this session. Miss F. Ifaney, who is the teacher at the Gault school closed her school Friday and gave a basket picnic and served ice cream and cake to the children. This school has about 40 scholars on the roll. We need two teachers at this place and hope to be able to get them before another term. Miss Esther Palmer, who teaches the Lindsay school, gave a picnic Saturday in the beautiful grove near Mr. Tom Garner's. A bountiful dinner was served. The Kelton High school will close next Friday, the 1st of May. The teachers, Misses. Ergle, Hallman and Pardue, will go to their home in Aiken and Orangeburg counties. It is not known whether these! young ladies, will return next ses-l sion or not, but we hope so. I Miss Bessie Fowler, of near Jonesl ville, was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. B.. Kelly, this weefl Mr. Millard Page, of the FmH forest section, was a visitor in thfl community qn Sunday. A Miss ^ Ani? BarnerV o/-^LiiwbenM Mr. Y. Garner. / Mr. and Mrs. W. Vi nson earned their baby girl to Spartanburg last week for medical treatment and the litte one is now improving. Mr. A. L. Gault celebrated his .".1st i birthday last Sunday. wnue in opartanburg last week, I thought I would got to hear thePendleton-Clement trial, but the courthouse was so crowded and those who could not get seats were shut out, so I only looked on the faces of the young lady and young man, who are on trial for their lives. They have intelligent faces. This is a sad affair. LOW ROUND TRIP RAILS. To Various Places Offered by SeaHoard Air Line Railway. Rates open for everybory from Union, S.
