committee appointed to investigat

with the affairs of the State Hospits
for the Insane, which was held yes
terday in the supreme court room.

mony at the session, which laste
four hours. At 2 o'clock the commit
tee adjourned, to meet again Monda;
afternoon at 3 o'clock, when the tak

for the Insane in Columbia and tha

Babcock and his assistant, Dr. L. B
Saunders, a young woman physiciai
in charge of the white female pa
tients at the hospital.
