School children, college boys and girls, backers, farmers, laborers, suffragettes and every other class of citisehs participated. The line of march was from Converse College .to Morgan square, and the procession was several city blocks in length. Three brass bands, all home enterprises, and two military companies participated. Tne colleges, Wofford and Convene, played well their parts, while Jia city schools had about a thousand children provided with torchlights. In was a gala night, and the strclai were overcrowded with enthusiasts; Wilson men and women. Over ten thousand peoile were on the streets. rHE LAW WITH REGARD TO HUNTING GAMF. What is commonly known in this ;ection of the country as the "huntng season" opened Friday, Novemjer 15th. From now until the 15th lay of next March it will be lawful ,o hunt certain kinds of game in this section,, or rather such gam^As is Found about here. The seasons for hunting the various tinds of game found in this State are is follows: Deer season: September ;o January; partridges and wild turcey, Nov. 15th to March 15th; dove, \ugust 15th to March 1st; woodcock, September to February; willett; Nov. to March; wood ducks, September to March; grackle, October to March. It is unlawful to disturb the nests or eggs of any of this game or to kill any of the above game "out of season." The penalty for violation of the law is ten dollars for each bird killed, caught or pursued with such intent, and twenty-five dollars for each .deer killed, or imprisonment for one day for each dollar of the fine to exceed $100 fine or imprisonment for 30 days. To Be Much Hunting. The law prohibits a man from killing more than 25 partridges a day, and punishment the same as that provided for killing them out of season is provided. Indications are that there will be considerable hunting in the country this season. Dozens of hunters will shoulder their guns and sally forth to the field with their dogs. So far as can be learned, partridges are about as plentiful this year as last season.?Greenville News. Baptist Women in Columbia.
