Sprouae (lied Sunday from the gunshot wound inflicted by Gus Har ris on Wednesday night preceding. The injured man was frequently partially conscious after the tragedy, and lingered nearly four days before-*., death came to relieve him. He was an operative in the spinning room of the Union Mills here. Harris was second hand in that department. Myster- i ious hints that involve some woman were in the testimony of one witness, i but nothing definite was brought out. The following is the exact copy of the testimony at the inquest held Sunday afternoon at the police headquarters: ] Testimony nt Inquest. i A. verbatim copy of the inquest Is ' as follows: Tj. C. Shoes, jewelry, a suitcase and other valuable merchandise w.iy missing. The robber got in through a rear window, which was perhaps twelve or fifteen feet from the ground. " A heavy plank was placed from the ground to the win aow sill anil the robbers went in that way. The police are on track 01' the robbers and it is probable that they will be captured. The night watchman in the mill saw a light in the storo and gave the alarm about '2 o'clock in the morning. It is thought that two or three hundred dollars worth of merchandise have been stolen. Burned matches were scattered here and there through the store. . - i Democratic .Mass Mooting. ( The city Democrats held a mass 1 meeting Wednesday evening in the ^ rooms of the Chamber of Commerce. ( The meeting Mas called to order at ClJO o'clock by Sheriff J. O. Long, who held over from two years ago.
