News From Lockhart Lockhart, April 2.?It is quite cool weather we have this morning. I have not heard of any frost and but little ice. At this writing it is too early to say whether the garden or fruit has bren injured on not. Something like five years ago Mr. Zcb Collins had a watch taken from his house. A negro was suspected and was arrested, but no positive evidence was brought out in the preliminary. Some time ago the watch was found embedded in the sand in a gully near the home of Mr. T. J. Wood, who lives a mile or more south of this place. It appears that the party or parties who took the watch threw it in the gully, and were so frightened they never removed it, or perhaps they failed to find it. The works were so badly damaged they were not any account, but the case was alright. Mr. Etherege, has resigned as Superintendent of Lockhart Mills and has gone with his family to his home at1 Woodruff. Mr. Reed, who is his sue-1 cessor, took charge yesterday. A Farmer. "The Blood is The Life." % Q^ilinnn Lao % ?.?uv? nun never gone ueyond tha I above simple statement of scripture. Hut j it has illuminated that statement and ; given it a meaning ever broadening with the increasing breadth of knowledge. When the blood is "bad" or impure it is not alone the body which suffers : through disease. The brain is also 1 clouded, the mind and judgement are I effected, and many an evil deed or impure I thought may be directly traced to the impurity of the blood. Foul, impure blood can be made pure by the use of Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery. It enriches and purities the blood thereby curing, pimples, blotches, eruptions and other cntanoous affections, as ecrema, tetter, or salt-rheum, hives and other manifestations of impure blood. I"? ? ? ? ? ? In the cure of scrofulous swellings, enlargAl glands, open eating ulcers, or old sores, the "Golden Medical Discovery "has performed the most marvelous cures. In casesiof old sores, or open eating ulcors, it ts well to apply to the open sores Dr. Pierce's All-IIeallng Salve, which possesses wonderful healing potency whon usgd as an application to the sores In conjunction with the use of "Golden Medical Discovery" as a blood cleansing consti- . | tutional treatment.
