Granting Special License by Town
of Union, S. C? for the Fiscal
Year Beginning May I, 1905.
He it ordained by the Mayor and Alderman of
he town of Union, S. C., in Council aaxenibled
ind by authority of anmc:
That every person, firm, company or corporaipa
engaged in or intending to engage in any
rade, businesa or profession hereinafter mentoned,
within the limits of the town of Union,
ihall first obtain u license from the Clerk
ind Treasurer, and all licenses herein mentioned
hall be non-transferable except by special pernission
from the Mayor cr Town Council, said
icense being per anum, jf not otherwise speciilly
provided, And all licenses shall expire on
day 1 100ft, but may be revoked at any time by
llaror or the Town Council.
Skc. 1. No person, firm or corporation shall be
mgaged in, prosecute or carry on any business,
occupation or profession hereinafter mentioned
without first receiving from the totvu Clerk and
Treasurer, upon the order of the Mayor, a specat
liceuse there:or,to wit:
Sac, 2. Kvery itinerant, trader or other person
[except licensed auctioneers) offering for sale or
ittempting to sell by sample within the town at
>ublic outcry or otherwise, any goods, warts,
nerchandise, fancy articles, spectacles, fcwelry,
inures, notions, or other articles of li'ke chartcter
or kind, shall pay iu advance a liceuse of
rot less than ten (I10.UU) dollars per day. fifty
950.00) dollars per week; or three hundred
9000.00) dollars p*r year.
Sac.il. Kvery-itenerant physiciun or vendor
>r seller of medicine, patent or of his own make,
rr practicing as an itenerant his profession or
mailing shall pay a license of not less thsn ten

Sac. 4.. Kvery person or persons peddling or
idling within the corporate limits, fruit, poultry,
vegetables, butter, eggs or otlior like articles

lection shall not be held to dpply to sellers of
produce and like characters raised on farms in
Union county, S. C.
Sac. 6. Kacb and every denier or company retailing
fresh meats, such as beef, mutton, pork,
Ush or oysters anil the like, shall pay a liceuse of
leveuty-fivo (9M.O0) per year and shall hove a
fixed place of business, and said dealer shall not
[te permitted tosell from any other place.

tailing fresh meats, such as mutton, beef,pork

loiters per year, and ahall have a fixed place of
