Mr. William Little died at his
home near Sulphur Springs yesterday
and was buried today at Sulphur
Springs church. Mr. Little was a
member of the Laptist church, a
Confederate veteran and a truthful,
honest, upright Christian gentleman.
Mr. D. A. T* Farr is out on the
streets again.
Mr. J. 11. Littlrjohn is still improving.
Rev. David llucks is in very poor
health and is not able to fill his pulpit,
he is suffering from indigestion.
Miss Florence McGowan is quite
indisposed.
There is just now more sickness in
our town than usual. i

I?. Fant was in our town last week
I visiting the schools and he reported
fine schools and up to dato teachers.
It has been mentioned by this correspondent
before and 1 will say again
that Superintendent Fant keeps a
supply of school books in his office at
actual wholesale prices, and how
could teachers or anyone else sell
them for less or who should want
them for less. School b( oks have
a burden; when they were sold at
large profits, because it takes so
many books to serve the schools, according
to the modern mode of teach;
