Twenty-five I packages werejsent and a bounteous I ipread was set before these poor unfortunates, which they enjoyed to die fullest extent* Mrs. Macbetli Young was chairman if the committee to present tlie inmates of the homo with this treat, l'he dinner was served on Christmas eve, and consisted of ham, turkey, plam pudding and several other toothsome dishes. The pleasure of the givers must have been as great as that of the recipients, when they saw how the treat was appreciated. ? m ? A Qniet Wedding. Miss Brock is the last child of the family to enter the matrimonial stage, thus leaving the fathor and mother once more alone. We wish for this kind and hospitable couple peace and happiness in their declining years, while we wish for the newly wedded couple happiness and prosperity through the journey of life which lies before them.
